We are working hard to bring you relevant PD programs and excellent speakers while everyone is working hard to flatten the curve. 

While the physical and social distancing measures have started to show some signs of slowing the spread of COVID-19 in Canada, we still have some time in front of us before things will be back to normal or, more likely, some to-be-determined form of “new normal”. Social and professional events have been cancelled or converted to virtual events, and many people are isolated while we work towards flattening the curve. Keep healthy and happy, and keep the boredom (aka cabin fever) at bay. One great choice is upgrading your skills and knowledge through our upcoming live webinars.

Our live webinars are a great way to stay informed and stay connected safely. In addition to joining our webinars live as they happen, we also have dozens of on demand webinars with a variety of topics available for viewing at your convenience.


The objectives of the GTA Accountants Network and the GTA Finance Network include the following:


Forum

To provide a forum for professional accountants, such as CPAs, tax practitioners, finance professionals, executives and other interested parties in which to enhance their technical and general knowledge, network and exchange ideas

Education

To provide ongoing education on topics that are relevant, interesting and insightful , which are presented by speakers who are specialists in their areas, extremely knowledge and great resources for you

Business

To assist you in improving business capabilities and enhancing your contact and knowledge base

Professional Development

To assist you in obtaining your ongoing professional development requirements

Good Meal

To sit down for a good meal and enjoy the company of other professionals


What is GTAAN/GTAFN?

It is an association with a mandate to bring to accounting, finance, tax and other professionals excellent speakers and topics on a wide range of relevant topics on a cost-effective basis, as well as networking opportunities. Our PD sessions are offered in-person and by live and on demand webinar, both during the evenings, and full- and half-day sessions.  The association runs on a break-even basis in order to offer attendees access to high quality and affordable learning and networking opportunities.  If you have any questions about our programming or the association in general, feel free to contact Melanie Russell at melanie@kalexvaluations.com.

Seminar Meetings and Webinars

These objectives are met by holding regular seminar meetings at which we offer a wide range of topics and speakers. We hold regular dinner, full day, half day as well as live webinars. The in-person events are generally held at the Donalda Club, but also at the Weston Golf and Country Club and other venues. If you can't make the event, you can either view the live webinar or access the on demand webinar from the event. Dinner events are structured as follows:

depending upon the speakers, topics and audience questions.

Check the website for times of half day and webinars. 
The cost of seminars can be paid by credit card. The pricing of events varies; please check the relevant course for more information. You will earn 2 to 3 hours of PD credits when you attend a dinner seminar and approximately eight hours for a full day event. We are pleased to offer an easy, inexpensive and enjoyable way to meet your PD requirements and to enhance your knowledge.

If you can't make the event, your registration fee entitles you to access to the event webinar that will be posted shortly after the event and, of course, the PD certificate from listening to the webinar.  If you prefer a refund, please ensure that you give us at least 48 hours notice.
