2. Become the CRA Expert in Your Company
Dealing with the Canada Revenue Agency collections department can be a daunting task. This is because they don’t operate by the same rules as private sector collectors, which leaves taxpayers and their representatives in the dark.
We will discuss the unique nature of the CRA collector, the awesome and broad powers that are available to the collectors, and techniques which can be used to hold off collections and to negotiate a payment arrangement.

This event will be held at the Donalda Club. The structure of the event is as follows:
- Reception (cash bar) – 5:30 p.m.
- Dinner – 6:00 p.m.
- Presentation(s) – 7:00 p.m. until 8:30/9:00 p.m., depending upon the speakers, topics and audience questions.

Prior to this, Anish led the Innovative Solutions Group at TD Asset Management where he held the position of Managing Director and Lead Portfolio Manager. The investment areas included synthetics, derivatives, quantitative, passive and fundamental mandates. Anish also held numerous other roles at TD Asset Management, including leading investment teams and serving as Lead Portfolio Manager of a number of successful TD mutual funds, including the TD Canadian Value Fund, and high net worth and institutional mandates.
As a result of his accumulated professional expertise, Anish is a sought-after media commentator regularly providing his views on business trends and developments on BNN Bloomberg, to The Canadian Press and other media.
Anish holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters of Accounting (Gold Medalist) from the University of Waterloo. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA, FCA) as well as a CFA charterholder. He also holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation, is a Chartered Business Valuator (Canadian Gold Medalist) and holds FCBV honours as a Fellow of the CICBV.
Anish is actively involved in the community, including as a member of the Investment Committee of the Lawson Foundation and a past member of the Ontario Judicial Council. Anish also served as Chair of CFA Society Toronto and was a member of the Canadian Accounting Standards Board.
