2. Become the CRA Expert in Your Company

Dealing with the Canada Revenue Agency collections department can be a daunting task.  This is because they don’t operate by the same rules as private sector collectors, which leaves taxpayers and their representatives in the dark.

We will discuss the unique nature of the CRA collector, the awesome and broad powers that are available to the collectors, and techniques which can be used to hold off collections and to negotiate a payment arrangement.

Judicial review of the decisions of collectors will also be touched upon.

Speaker: Dale Barrett, B.C.L., LL.B. of Barrett Tax Law

This event will be held at the Donalda Club.  The structure of the event is as follows:

  • Reception (cash bar) – 5:30 p.m.
  • Dinner – 6:00 p.m.
  • Presentation(s) – 7:00 p.m. until 8:30/9:00 p.m., depending upon the speakers, topics and audience questions.

The cost of the seminar and dinner is $85 (+tax), which you can pay by any credit card. You will earn 3.0 hours of PD credits when you attend a session. We are pleased to offer an easy, inexpensive and enjoyable way to meet your PD requirements.
