About the Instructor(s)
Jeffrey Brown is a partner with Fuller Landau LLP in Toronto where he leads seven professionals dedicated to US tax services. A former partner with KPMG Canada, Jeffrey founded BoTax, the Boston Tax Advisory Company Ltd. (BoTax) in 2013 which he merged into Fuller Landau in 2018.
Jeffrey is a licensed as a CPA in Massachusetts where he was also called to the bar. A graduate of Northeastern University School of Law, Bentley College and Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Jeffrey has more than 30 years of pure tax experience, Jeffrey and his team assist both Americans in Canada and Canadian companies with US federal and state income and sales tax matters, planning and tax controversy resolution.
Robert is a co-founder and partner with Morris Kepes Winters LLP, one of Canada’s largest tax boutique law firms. MKW provides Canadian and U.S. tax and estate planning, tax litigation, and criminal defence of tax evasion and other regulatory offences. MKW’s U.S. attorneys provide comprehensive U.S. tax and cross-border planning.
Robert graduated from McGill University Law School (B.C.L., LL.B.) and has been a tax lawyer for 30 years. Robert’s clients are generally private owner-managed companies, entrepreneurs, professionals, and high net worth individuals, both foreign and domestic. His experience includes Canadian tax and estate planning; and tax litigation and representation against CRA audits and assessments. Robert has also successfully obtained rectification orders before the Ontario courts.
